A Hundred Flowers

I WILL be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.

I will look at cliffs and clouds
With quiet eyes,
Watch the wind bow down the grass,
And the grass rise.

And when lights begin to show
Up from the town,
I will mark which must be mine,
And then start down!

I am a retired elementary/middle school teacher. I have been fortunate to travel extensively—six continents and 23 countries, so far. Photography allows me to capture and preserve memories of the people and places I have visited. Light and shadow and perspective are especially attractive to me. I don't use Photoshop - I'm more of a 'purist' so to speak.
