“In dimidio dierum meorum vadam ad portas inferi” -Isaiah 38:10.  In the noontime of my days I must depart to the gates of the netherworld.

Br. Christopher
I am Br. Christopher Wetzel OP, a friar of the Western Dominican Province living in Oakland, CA. I tend to be inspired to photographic creativity when I experience natural beauty. As an amateur, I tend to simple wait for the right moment and hope that my cell phone camera is up to the task. If I experience beauty, I ask: would an image reflect what I feel? If so, I give it go. As a friar, I am constantly surrounded by beauty, so the only real problem is to be unobtrusive and to avoid prizing the photo over the experience.
