acrylic and sand from the River Jordan on floating wood panel, 18″ x 24″
God shall o’er-brim the measures you have spent
With oil of gladness, for sackcloth and frieze
And the ever-fretting shirt of punishment
Give myrrhy-threaded golden folds of ease.
Your scarce-sheathed bones are weary of being bent:
Lo, God shall strengthen all the feeble knees.
-from “Easter Communion” by Gerard Manley Hopkins

As good stewards of all our gifts, including sacred grounds, we are called to protect, replenish and cultivate them.

As a Catholic artist, I believe that God’s kingdom is on heaven and earth, in darkness and light. God replenishes us with the Word. As disciples, we are to be Jesus to others and spread His love to everyone.
